The punch forms the semi-molten stud or wall section into the desired profile. The punch is typically a custom machined component based on the specific application details. The machine Job Number and/or module number reference is required for re-ordering purposes.
3. Reflector
The reflector columnates the IR energy, provides the bearing surface and guidance for the punch, and houses the lamp assembly. Most reflectors are of a standard design, some have been modified at Extol to facilitate clearance for various application geometries.
4. Lamp Assembly
The lamp assembly consists of the lamp and the lamp holder. Although the lamp is a very durable 'technical grade' device rated at 2000-hour life expectancy, it should be considered a perishable item and spares should be maintained at customer facilities as appropriate.
5. Punch Coupler
The punch coupler connects the punch to punch cylinder via the magnet.
6. Body Sub-Assembly
The body is the main component of the InfraStake module. The body includes: the power cable assembly, cooling air fitting, and contact 'pogo pins'.
7. Magnet
The magnet secures the punch to the punch cylinder.
8. Punch Cylinder
A pneumatic device that extends and retracts the punch, bore and stroke length vary based on application requirements.
9. 'Pogo Pins' (Not shown)
Two electrical contact pins installed in the body sub-assembly that transfer the 12V energy from the power cable to the lamp holder.
