Additive Manufacturing Engineer
The Additive Manufacturing Engineer is the technical expert within Extol’s Digital Development Center (DDC). The Additive Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for understanding, operating within, and improving upon all performance parameters of the Multi Jet Fusion printing process as well as key secondary processes such as vapor smoothing and joining of multi-section assemblies. This role is also responsible for communicating internal and customer-defined quality control criteria to DDC technicians. Applications Lab Engineer I
The Applications Lab Engineer 1 reviews and assesses customer assembly projects and provides a formal recommendation regarding feasibility, best methods, potential issues and process options. This report may include suggestions for changing customer part material type, part dimensions and/or part joint designs to achieve a better process result. Testing of plastic materials and/or sample parts may be required to effectively evaluate a given application. The lab engineer supports Extol’s internal and external sales efforts with plastics joining expertise, consultation, problem-solving, testing, evaluation and analysis. Additional duties include machine set-up, small volume assembly work, and machine processing. Direct customer interaction at Extol or at customer facilities occurs regularly. Controls Engineer II
This intermediate-level position is responsible for producing quality design of the PLC based control system, motion and electrical systems for custom equipment and machines. Controls Engineer III
This senior-level position is responsible for producing quality design of the PLC-based control system, motion and electrical systems for custom equipment and machines. This engineer works independently on higher complexity projects, coordinates designs of complex systems with other engineers, and will mentor level 1 and level 2 controls engineers to ensure they are successful. Machine Builder I
Performs machine assembly, wiring, plumbing and debugging of standard and special build machines. The scope includes the coordination and completion of a project from start of build to run-off. Reads and interprets customer specifications and requirements, plans and completes assembly of simple to complex machines including assembly, wiring, and plumbing of machine, debug, documentation, shipping, and service. Sets up and operates manual lathes, drills, mills, and grinders to cut and shape custom parts to specifications. Interprets design specifications and translates into plan for machining. Calculates location of cut, speed of feed, and amount of material to remove. Selects tools and materials, plans the sequence of cutting and finishing operations. Project Manager III
Manage projects from receipt of the purchase order until has been shipped and the customer satisfied. Works internally and with customers to ensure product meets customer expatiation in terms of design, performance, and timeliness. Ensures appropriate documentation is completed throughout project, and documents lessons learned for use in future project planning. Performs other duties that may be assigned as needed.
