Strategic Account Manager

Extol, Inc. is looking for a self-starting, competitive Strategic Account Manager in the Metro Detroit area! This position is responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships with strategic customers and prospects. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to understand customer needs and provide the best solution to drive profitable growth.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Manages current client accounts and works to find new opportunities within their operations.
  • Identifies and engages with new business prospects and projects.
  • Understands the full sales cycle and is able to effectively move clients from discovery to close.
  • Demonstrates discipline and the ability to manage varying demands and deadlines.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Extol team and customer to determine and develop the best solutions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in plastics related field
  • Ability to quickly build trust and rapport with existing and potential clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical information
  • Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time (U.S., Canada, and Mexico)
