Are you looking for an entry-level, remote opportunity in the Detroit area to further your career in sales? Are you eager to learn and maintain key relationships with customers? Extol is currently looking for a Strategic Account Representative who will understand customer needs and deliver best solution. The Strategic Account Representative (SAR) is responsible for maintaining key relationships with assigned customers. Qualifying and disqualifying opportunities quickly and correctly will allow the SAR to be most effective. Growing sales numbers will be critical to this role, as well as the following responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand customer needs and problems, and get to the root cause.
  • Work closely with customers and Extol personnel to develop the right solutions to solve customer issues.
  • Develop and present compelling value propositions for Extol’s full value chain to solve the customer problems
  • Utilize Business Development to assist at high potential customers where growth is stagnant.
  • Utilize Technology Sales Engineers to aid in specifying Extol proprietary technology.

Required Skills & Experience

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to be persuasive and to clearly understand and communicate complex technical information both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills including an ability to manage varying demands and deadlines. Demonstrates discipline to compile, organize, and store project information, and to effectively manage communication.
  • Demonstrates understanding of business finance and the ability to apply understanding to estimate project costs.
  • Demonstrates ability to quickly analyze, compare, and interpret detailed information to uncover root issues.
  • Less than 1 year in sales, engineering, and costing/quoting experience, or equivalent.
