InfraStake Safety

InfraStake is a safe technology in its normal use. However, here are a few potential safety concerns to be aware of.

/

Pinch points

InfraStake modules are designed to clamp the assembly that they are staking. Do not touch the modules or the assembly when the modules are being extended into the clamp position. Most machines are set up to eliminate this risk.

Burn hazard

The lamp and punch inside an InfraStake module can get hot during operation. In uncommon situations, the concentrator, and the reflector may also get hot. Use caution.

IR light

InfraStake modules use infrared (IR) energy, which is not harmful with minimal exposure. However, eye protection is recommended for direct exposure or prolonged exposure to reflected IR energy. This should not occur in normal situations.
